To our surprise, only one person to date has asked us how to backup their Foliobook data. Luckily iTunes has the ability to do this, so nothing special is needed to achieve it.

Using iTunes

Making a backup

1. Connect your iPad to iTunes and when it starts to sync, cancel this on the iPad, by swiping it off.

2. In iTunes look on the left hand side to see where your iPad is listed

3. Use ctrl-click (mac) or right mouse button down (windows) on your iPad name to see the context menu and select ‘Backup’

4. When the backup is complete, select a memorable name for the backup.

Restoring a backup

1. Connect your iPad to iTunes and when it starts to sync, cancel this on the iPad, by swiping it off.

2. In iTunes look on the left hand side to see where your iPad is listed

3. Use ctrl-click (mac) or right mouse button down (windows) on your iPad name to see the context menu and select ‘Restore from backup’

4. Select the desired backup and allow the iPad to be fully restored.
